Neutrals have been a big color trend for weddings within the past several years and while neutrals will NEVER go out of style, I believe 2017 will bring COLOR back to the wedding world! … 2017 brides — take note!
The wedding took place in January at Battle Mountain Farms, cozy with winter decor, and crisp with a chill blue sky. It was expected to rain all week leading up to the wedding day, but last minute – the weather forecast changed! It was our first time photographing at Battle Mountain Farms – and we cannot wait to go back!
Hello friends! Today we’re sharing a wedding we got to shoot at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Franklin, full of classic elegance and timeless style.
Hello + happy Thursday! Today’s share is a bridal session we did recently at the ever-gorgeous Scarritt Bennett Center chapel. It’s always a joy to shoot there, but there’s something about winter that makes the old gothic architecture and soaring ceiling-arches seem especially beautiful…almost with a Jane Eyre-esque mystery.
I can’t tell this wedding story, without sharing my backstory with Cassie (the bride). I met Cassie my Freshman year at Belmont (nearly 9 years ago!!) through our mutual friend Amanda. Cassie’s confidence and tell-it-like-it-is personality were immediately intriguing to me.
“This story SHOULD begin on August 3rd, 2013…Michael and Lexie both attended a pool party that day; Michael with his roommate, and Lexie with some church friends. Although there were probably only 30 people there, they didn’t meet. Yet.”
Today’s wedding is a gorgeous one – one of those moments that’s so pungent you just want to soak it all up. Rich with an autumn color palette and deep tonal details, every part of it seemed to only compliment the bounty of beauty already present in nature this time of year!
Today we’re sharing the brilliant engagement story, along with the wedding photos from The Cordelle for our featured bride and groom, as it’s too good to miss!
