When you look at the images from Melissa and Ryan’s wedding, it’s hard to not fall in love with the gorgeous old mansion that sets their stage! Whether from the textured walls to the beautiful old furniture and frosty windows, everything gives off a sort of timeless class and elegance, which carries over into the wedding itself…
About Ellen, Kerry speaks just as warmly: “I love how compassionate and patient Ellen is. No matter what obstacles are thrown in her way, she overcomes and perseveres with such optimism that it inspires me to try to be the best that I can be. She’s so loving, caring, and selfless in her sacrifices to help others. I’m enthralled with the way she looks at me, [even] after an exhausting weekend of traveling on the road. She’s my best friend, that no matter what stress or deadline might have me bogged down, she is there to listen and help me navigate through this world. I’m so lucky to have her in my life and completely blessed to be able to call such a beautiful woman my bride-to-be.”
One of the things that makes a wedding unique are the details. Behind several elements of Kristi + Logan’s wedding were little stories that added such depth of character to the experience as a whole, something we love when capturing people’s special day! . . . Towards the end of the night they danced to a song at the wedding called “Managua Nicaragua”, on special request of Logan’s grandmother. This song was played at her wedding, and Kristin & Logan happened to be going to Nicaragua for their honeymoon! Logan’s grandmother was the “Jitterbug Queen of Atlanta” way back in the day, and this was her moment to shine. Just check out the sweet images of Logan dancing with his grandma during this special song . . .
If you were in Tennessee during the 3rd week of January this year, you know that Nashville got record breaking amounts of snow! Nashville was a winter wonderland. A snowy wedding has been on my photography bucket list for quite a while now and it was so worth the wait — just wait till you see how gorgeous Catherine’s white dress looks surrounded by the glowing snow right before sunset!
One of my favorite images from all of last year came from this wedding — take your time as you scroll through the ceremony photos — the look on Allison’s face as she and Darren walk down the aisle makes me remember why I love being a wedding photographer every time I see it. The joy, love, anticipation, excitement — its all there in her eyes.
When Charli was a senior in high school — she was the second person I had ever been hired to photograph (2009-ish I believe). It was so fun to be able to reconnect with Charli and have the honor to be there as she entered into her next big adventure — married life!
If you are planning a wedding in less than 60 days — you should talk to Kathleen and Ben! These two got engaged and just couldn’t stand to wait to call each other husband and wife… and in about two months these two had planned a gorgeous day that beautifully represented their style. So on the first day of 2016, these two began a blessed journey together. Enjoy the photos — and don’t skim past their first look… if Ben’s reaction to seeing Kathleen for the first time doesn’t make you tear up, then I don’t know what will!
Our last 2015 wedding — Christmas-y, classic, unique, genuine, simple and stunning. Just a few words that come to mind when I think of Alicia & Everett’s winter wedding. We were so blessed to bear witness to this couple’s commitment to each other.
