SEASONAL SESSIONS

Jenna and Andrew, today’s bride and groom, met at 7 years old on the soccer field, and though they didn’t start dating until age 22, it’s clear this wedding has been many years in the making!

“My favorite moment was approaching the ceremony,” Chelsea says.  “As I looked at all of the faces of my best friends and family in the moment, it hit me hard! People that I love and have known for so long, all in one place to celebrate love, then seeing Jason standing at the end of the aisle…So many emotions started to rush to me. At that moment I had to say to myself…

. . . even a tandem bicycle making a cameo for this couple’s classic, romantic evening. We love how warm and joyful Andrew and Jenna are with each other – what a joy to get to capture these precious moments with them!

It’s always a joy to shoot at Riverwood Mansion. Not only do we love the stories contained within those walls, but the design ethos is incredible!

Today’s session is extra special — Back in my Art Teacher days, Chelsea and I taught next door to each other! We had each others backs, which makes a world of difference in that sort of environment! She put up with my art class playing loud music regularly, as well as graciously enduring the paint smell that probably drifted through those cinder block walls into her classroom ;-). It was such a pleasure to then get to photograph Chelsea & Jason on this lovely Autumn day!

“After all the pressure, planning, and business of dealing with the wedding, the first look was a intimate/private moment the two of us got to share alone,” Courtney describes. “He also may have shed a few tears that he would not have wanted everyone else to see. During the first look,

“I had this vision of my wedding for years,” Kat says. “That it would be my friends and family and loved ones all dancing barefoot on the grass. I remember having a moment at the reception where I realized that was exactly what was happening and that it was even more wonderful than I imagined.”

“the whole wedding day to me was perfect and beautiful. But my favorite moment of the ceremony was towards the end when we were praying; DJ and I had our foreheads against each other and I peeked down and saw our hands together with our wedding bands on. It was something only I could see from my perspective and made me feel like we were the only two people there…”
