Sarah Sidwell Photography captures some bridal photographs in Nashville at Scarritt Bennett, a beautiful church with dramatic windows and archways.
Christina had a special vision for her bridal session – and I loved it!
Hello + happy Thursday! Today’s share is a bridal session we did recently at the ever-gorgeous Scarritt Bennett Center chapel. It’s always a joy to shoot there, but there’s something about winter that makes the old gothic architecture and soaring ceiling-arches seem especially beautiful…almost with a Jane Eyre-esque mystery.
. . . I love how Katy and George embraced the moment and had fun together no matter what Mother Nature decided to throw their way.
The family history in the wedding we’re sharing today is truly deep-rooted! … We loved this Loveless Cafe wedding day!
One of the things that makes a wedding unique are the details. Behind several elements of Kristi + Logan’s wedding were little stories that added such depth of character to the experience as a whole, something we love when capturing people’s special day! . . . Towards the end of the night they danced to a song at the wedding called “Managua Nicaragua”, on special request of Logan’s grandmother. This song was played at her wedding, and Kristin & Logan happened to be going to Nicaragua for their honeymoon! Logan’s grandmother was the “Jitterbug Queen of Atlanta” way back in the day, and this was her moment to shine. Just check out the sweet images of Logan dancing with his grandma during this special song . . .
The day of Jennifer and John’s wedding, it was supposed to rain. And it did, in between the first look and bridal party photos — just enough to cool down the hot summer day for their outside reception! What a blessing in disguise!
As mentioned in my previous post, these first few posts are dedicated to a few of the wonderful clients that I have met over the last 5 years, who have encouraged me to “take the leap.” Krista has been the ultimate encourager in growing my business.
