As a photographer, I have always wanted to offer my clients the chance to capture special moments between siblings. I know from personal experience how meaningful it is to look back at photos from childhood and having the chance to provide that for my clients means a lot to me.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a childhood portrait session of three siblings: a big brother, big sister, and little sister. It was an absolute joy to capture these moments between them and I know that these photos will be cherished forever.

In this blog, I want to share my experience of photographing this session and the importance of capturing these special moments between siblings. Let’s get started!

This session was full of joy and laughter as the kids played around in the studio. We were able to capture some precious moments between the three of them that we know they will cherish forever. The big brother and big sister were so patient and loving with their little sister and it was clear that they have a special bond.

I was so honored to be able to document this special time between these three siblings and we know that these photos will bring joy and happiness to their family for years to come. It’s special to capture these moments of childhood – I have no doubt these will be some classics that these siblings look back on for decades to come.

One note of encouragement for parents – these kiddos’ mama was nervous about her kids cooperating long enough to get good photos – after the session she mentioned how thankful she was for how quick I can work with children who need me to move fast and for how I allow both serious & playful moments for kids so that the entire photo experience can be fun! My general approach with kids during photos is not to fight them, but to roll with where they take me 🙂
