Spring is basically nature’s confetti, and daffodils are the cheerful, sunny version that show up just when you need them.

I had the sweetest morning photographing a mama and her two daughters just outside of Franklin, TN, wandering through a field of bright yellow blooms. The girls wore matching pink outfits, twirling, laughing, and stealing the show — while their mom kept a close eye on all the magic happening around her.

There’s something about a field full of daffodils that invites movement and joy. Every little step, every giggle, every playful spin felt amplified by the blooms surrounding them. It’s impossible not to smile when the scene itself is practically glowing.

Watching sisters interact is a little like watching spring unfold — unpredictable, delightful, and full of little surprises. And seeing mom soak it all in reminded me why motherhood photos are so special: they freeze these moments that feel ordinary now but will be priceless in the years to come.
