Every summer, the garden outside my studio becomes more than just a backdrop—it’s a living, blooming space that makes garden photo sessions in Franklin, TN feel magical. As someone who loves both photography and gardening, it brings me so much joy to watch this little piece of land grow alongside the families I photograph here.
Whether it’s a baby discovering the grass for the first time, a mama twirling in a floral dress with her little ones, or siblings giggling in the golden light, this garden brings out something beautiful in everyone who steps into it.
Some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken happened right here in the garden. A little girl clinging to her mama’s legs with a dimpled grin. A baby belly-laughing as dad lifts him into the air. A toddler sprinting barefoot down the path, curls bouncing in the breeze. These are the photos that stay with me—and with the families who return year after year.
It’s wild how much kids change in just one year. That’s why I love seeing returning families like Stacey and her son, who come back every summer for garden photos. The images turn into a timeline of their connection, growth, and joy. It’s the sweetest thing to be a part of.
There’s no pressure in the garden. It’s just you, your family, and a peaceful setting that invites play, snuggles, and real connection. Some sessions here are soft and slow. Others are filled with laughter and movement. However your family shows up, the garden helps us tell your story in a way that feels true to you.
And now that we’re heading into peak bloom season, it’s time to start planning your session.
Garden sessions will be available all of July and August, and often into September and early October, depending on the blooms.
And here’s the exciting part: for the first time ever, I’m offering Petite Garden Sessions for the whole family—not just minis for moms & kids. These shorter sessions are a great option if you’re looking for something quick and meaningful!
Or, if you want more time to explore and play, full-length sessions are always available and offer lots flexibility – we can even combine studio & garden photos for full length sessions!
Either way, you’ll walk away with timeless, heart-tugging images in one of my favorite places on Earth.
If you’ve been thinking about booking garden photos, now’s the time. Dates go fast, and the season is short—but the memories we create will last forever.
