Guess who we are finally meeting?! The beautiful baby Emiyah! Let me just tell you how excited her older siblings were to have her there! If you remember mamas maternity session, everyone in the family was radiating excitement. To finally have her here was the long awaited moment.

I have loved working with mama here because she is always up for trying creative ideas, as can be seen in her most recent maternity session. If you remember, we had a very ethereal look we did and other soft and romantic looks… might just want to check out that blog post if you haven’t yet. For her newborn session – we kept in mostly in line with my standard newborn work, but threw in a few artistic & snuggly images of baby wrapped in a scarf around mama.

I did want to give a little tip for newborn sessions with big siblings. I know many parents worry about older siblings lasting for a full session. It’s okay to bring an iPad or phone for older siblings to be entertained with — I just recommend getting all the sibling photos done first before we introduce technology.

OR if it’s possible, having a partner or other trusted adult take older siblings home or out for a treat/to the park (after their photos are done) while we focus on just baby & mama + baby photos – can be a very relaxing way to end your session!
