Baby James is another of my membership clients, and his newborn session was absolutely precious! Although most newborn sessions take place in those first couple of weeks of life, James was a bit older for his session.
There are numerous reasons why a family might need to postpone until baby is a little older. Perhaps your little one had an unexpected NICU stay or the transition home from the hospital was rougher than anticipated and you needed extra time to adjust as a family. Or, maybe there was a scheduling conflict for your family that couldn’t be avoided. Or, as is becoming more common, the pandemic has you taking extra precautions to keep baby healthy.
Whatever the reason, it’s OKAY! When it comes to photography, that newborn window is pretty flexible! Your baby may be more alert than his week-old peers, but that makes for some special moments too! Plus, I know all the tricks to get those classic, sleepy & snuggly shots that you’re looking for.
Take a look at James’ photos — and if you’re curious, you can look back to his sister’s newborn session, too!
