I’ve been a busy little bee photographing the studio wardrobe for mammas to share with you all! One of the things that makes a session look great is clothing that is beautiful and coordinates well with the environment. I wanted to create a process that is as pain free as possible, so I’ve collected some gorgeous pieces for the use of my beautiful clients. This takes the guess work out of what to wear and will also save a little bit of money (perhaps extra to invest into a framed portrait!).

This light mocha colored Show Me Your Mumu dress is a size Large and fits great for both maternity and non-maternity sessions. It can be pinned in the back and looks great on both Small & Medium sized mamas as well.

This Floral Show Me Your Mumu dress is just gorgeous! It’s a size M/L and fits and works great for new mammas and moms of small children (maxi skirts allow you to get of the floor and play with your kiddos with out exposing anything ;-)). . Can also work for petite maternity mammas. Can be pinned in the back for XS mammas.

This classic wrap dress is in the perfect light pink. I looks great in the studio and outside! Size Medium. The wrap aspect of it allows for the waist to be adjusted as needed. Works for maternity & non-maternity.
For mammas wanting modesty in the bust area, the top can be pinned and double stick tape can be used :-).

This Rachel Pally dress is like the Sisterhood of the traveling pants! It flatters everyone!!! Its a size Large/XL but even looks fantastic on size Small & Medium mammas. It just hugs & hangs in all the right places. Its classic cream color looks great on everyone as well as indoor and outdoor!
Top can be pinned for extra coverage if desired.

This Free People dress is the perfect gold/amber color! Its a size Small, but like most Free People items, runs large. This dress flatters a variety of different size mammas both pre & post baby!

Add a pop of metallic to your family photos with this dress! This Lulus dress is a size Medium & can be pinned in the back to look great on smaller mammas. We think this is so fun while still remaining classy with its timeless silhouette.

Rachel Pally dresses never disappoint in their fit, and this dress is no exception! This dress is a Size Medium, but the wrap nature of the skirt allows for some variation in sizes! Sophisticated, classic, and relaxed. I love this dress. The top can be pinned or double sided tape can be used for more modest mammas.

Another gorgeous Rachel Pally dress, this one in a size small, but the pleated empire skirt leaves lots of room for mammas with baby bumps! I love the square neck line of this dress.

This Free People dress just screams summer to me! But also works great in spring & fall or any time of the year in the studio :-). Size small, but runs large and could fit size medium mammas too. The back is open so a “special bra” is suggested (though we can always just photograph from the front, or throw a cardigan on over it for certain shots).

This summery dress is from Wren & Ivory, is a size S and is nursing friendly with its buttons :-). I’m a fan of flutter sleeves and love the sophistication they add to this summer maxi.

I love the antiqued lace on this dress! Size Medium, but the stretch in the bodice of this dress allows it to work well for small mammas, as well as great for petite postpartum moms as well. Very flattering! From a local boutique here in Franklin.

This free people dress is a size Small, but will fit size medium & many size large mammas as well. The loose skirt makes it work great for maternity & postpartum sessions as well. I love the gold detailing in the top of this dress, it just adds the little extra something!

This gorgeous Show Me Your MuMu wrap dress is a size XS and works great for our petite mammas. I love the classic silhouette, the flowy fabric, the flutter sleeves and the perfect neutral brown – works great both outdoors & in studio. The top can be pinned or double sided tape can be used for mammas concerned about modesty.

This fun slightly boho Free People look-alike dress is the perfect brown/camel color! Looks great outside and some mammas have even paired it with a hat! So cute!
This dress a size large, but looks great on size Small & Medium mammas as well! It just hangs well of a variety of sizes and has been work on mammas ranging from size 2 to 10.

This Free People dress has the most delicate lace & floral details! Its mid length and though its a size Small, fits size medium & expectant mammas well due to its flow-y nature 🙂

This Wren & Ivory dress is a size Medium, but can be pinned for smaller mammas as well. I love its neutral mauve-y color and though it works both indoor & outdoor in all seasons, I think it is perfect against the dried foliage at the field location in fall & winter! The lace piece on the waist is see-through, but I have a perfect slip for underneath for any mammas that aren’t a fan of this trend.

This classic wrap silhouette has a pop of pink fun with this floral pattern! This dress is from Morning Lavender and is a size small, but the wrap nature of the dress allows for extra room. Wrap dresses are great for both maternity & postpartum mammas as they are comfortable and adjustable!

Looking for a cozy winter dress that really shows off your baby bump? I’ve got you covered! The dress from PinkBlush Maternity and is made to stretch over your bump. It is a size medium but stretches and could work with smaller or probably a size large as well.

This goldern/amber colored dress is stunning! The lace stretches to work with a variety of sizes. Its a size Large from Forever 21, but both small & medium sized mammas can wear this piece as well. Above it is pictured with a tan slip underneath it, but it can also be worn without a slip underneath for a soft feminine boudoir maternity vibe.
It also works well for postpartum moms and moms of young children.

These 3 Free People body con dresses are what my mamma clients use as slips, but they also work great for maternity sessions when mammas want to really show their beautiful bump off!
Fantastic for silhouette photos as is – or throw one of the below lacy cardigans on over one of these for a whole different look! (Hint – the blue/green cardigan below looks great over the pink dress/slip above).
All are size M/L, but stretch to fit any size and can be adjusted to be shorter if needed.

These two lacy cardigans look great over several different dresses in the studio wardrobe or just your skivvies for maternity sessions where expectant mammas want to rock their bare baby bump all natural 😉

This pink Free People dress is so gorgeous! Its a size Small, but can be loosened (by not zipping the side zipper – sshhh! It’ll be our secret and no one will know!), to fit size medium mammas too!

A pop of yellow! I love this top from BHLDN (fits size medium & small) paired with this golden rod yellow skirt from Morning Lavender (size medium, can be pinned to fit smaller sizes)!

I love the soft look of this antique lace top paired with this perfectly muted pink skirt! The skirt is a size large but can be pinned to fit smaller mammas. The top is a size small, but runs large. This combo can be worn on or off the shoulder and is perfect for both maternity and non-maternity clients.

This Free People dress is a size Large, but can be pinned to fit smaller sizes (as it is pinned on the dress form pictured above). Shown here with the white slip underneath. Such a flattering silhouette for both maternity & non-maternity mammas!

I love this dress, especially for in-studio maternity! Can be worn with or without a slip underneath.

This white lacy boho dress from Wren & Ivory is a size medium/large and is perfect for mammas who desire a high neckline. The bodice of this dress will stretch to fit bumps of a variety of sizes!

The perfect little cream lace dress – classic and delicate. Size Medium, fits size small & x-small as well.

This pink night gown from Free People has the perfect details! Great for in studio sessions pre & post baby! For maternity sessions, this dress can be used for great silhouette portraits in front of my gorgeous studio window! Size medium, but will fit sizes small & large as well.

This cream & lace swing dress is unique, flattering, forgiving and offers a high neckline. Great for both in studio & outdoors.

This body-con dress is a perfect way to show off your bump, but also adds a bit of texture and interest! Look closely and you can see the woven pattern and beautiful texture in the dress from Morning Lavender. Great for both studio and the outdoor. size M/L.

This baby pink maxi dress is a size M and its empire waist + gathered skirt line allows it to work well for both pregnant & non-pregnant mammas.

Great for fall colors and adding texture! Pair it with tights and boots! Fits sizes small & medium.

I love the tulle paired with this simple look! A great neutral color that allows for you & your babies to be the focus of the photo! Size Medium, will fit size small as well.

Add one of these gorgeous cardigans over your outfit on a chilly day or to add a cozy look in studio!

A classic white over-sized chunky knit sweater can be the perfect piece. Can be thrown on over your pants, OR used alone for a maternity session that shows a little skin – think cozy, casual, & a little sexy maternity photos.

This simple shirt has a pop of lace and works great to through on over your pants. This a great neutral top that allows for you and your family to be the focus of the photos I take. Size L.

The perfect little summer dresses! Size Small.

This lovely Free People top is perfect to throw on over a tank-top & your pants. I love the lacy details and the peep-shoulder of this top! Size Large.

This creamy lace dress can be work with our without a slip and stretches to fit sizes XS – m/L. Great for both maternity & non-maternity mammas 🙂

I love flower crown accessories! Though I can always have a fresh one made by my florist just for you — I also have this one on hand in the studio for spur of the moment flower crown decisions!
