This session gave me major Parenthood vibes! And if you haven’t watched that show, you need to put it at the top of your next watch list!

Seriously though, this **extended family photo session** made me want to go hug everyone in my family and have an outdoor dinner under string lights that ends in a dance party. It also made me want to have kids, just so that they could grow up and come over to my house for such a relaxed and fun gathering!

Putting my Parenthood-in-real-life dreams aside…I’ve photographed Leigh Ann & Paul’s family a couple times of the past couple years and was so honored when I heard that Paul’s mom wanted me to photograph their whole family! Her parents, and all 4 of her sons with their families. Together we had 4 generations present — HOW COOL!!??

Because family members where coming in from out of town, we were all watching the weather like hawks. Even though it was drizzling, we decided to go ahead with the session in Mrs. Vernich’s backyard. That drizzly day brought so much magic!
