As I begin to choose my first posts for my website, I am realizing it is hard to decide who to write about and whose photos to share first! After looking at LOTS of photo sessions, I’ve decided to dedicate my first few posts to clients that in one way or another have played a pivotal role in encouraging me to “take the leap” and pursue my “dream job.” I’ve had so many wonderful clients who have and have been truly blessed by the friendships we have formed. Some people in these first few posts may seem to hold obvious roles of encouragement, and some people (like Ashley and Grant) may not be so obvious… that is until you know how their story intersected with mine 🙂
Meet Ashley and Grant. The first couple that I didn’t already know who asked me to photograph their wedding day. Ashley doesn’t even know how she found my Facebook Page three years ago, but boy am I thankful that she did!
As I got to know Ashley and Grant through our initial meeting and during our afternoon together for engagement photos, it became apparent that these two love each other with a passion, are really good at having fun, have a huge heart for people… and they are going to change the world! Both Ashley and Grant work with students helping them to meet their goals. But these two really encourage everyone they come in contact with, not just students, to dream big and make the world a better place using the gifts they have been given–including me!
Their day was filled with SO much joy. As a photographer, you can’t help but think, “I LOVE my job!” when the joy and love between 2 people and their family and friends is over flowing. The raw emotions and love were beautiful to witness and unraveled so naturally in front of my camera.
Joining them on their journey from engaged to married inspired me to want to come along side more couples to capture their journey. I will post their engagement photos sometime in the future, but for now– here is a peak into Ashley and Grant’s beautiful day. Thank you Ashley and Grant for being so warm, welcoming, and encouraging to me! And for setting an awesome example of loving those around you.
