A Govenor’s Club wedding… I hope we get to come to this location again, it was beautiful! What stood out to me at this wedding were the quiet moments. Those moments in between the big ones, the moments of reflection, or to steal a private kiss… As a photographer, it’s my job to watch and notice these moments. While everyone else is buzzing around, drunk on the excitement and love in the air, I’m watching for the stillness. It’s in these moments that I can see the gravity of the situation on the face of the bride. She reflects upon her choice to love her groom until the day she dies and I see a calm sense of wholeness in her face. She isn’t afraid, she understands the weight of this choice and knows it is exactly what she wants. Those are the moments I love the most when I’m shooting a wedding.
