There’s something to be said for subtleties: the type of beauty that doesn’t jump out at you, waving it’s arms and saying “look at me, I’m pretty!” – but instead just sits there, patiently, knowing it’s lovely and waiting for you to discover it.
In today’s wedding, it’s all about those subtle beauties, the delicate and the fragile, the unassuming and the lovely. The invitation suite is one of the best examples of this understated beauty, painted with fragile watercolor leaves of muted greens and blues: beautiful and modest at once. The backdrop for the wedding, a sleek white tent in a quiet, dreamy wood was the perfect canvas for the wood-themed elements that came to play in the wedding decor. Flowers and string lights and lace and lanterns abounded, and there were even a couple lamp-posts (reminiscent of Narnia, anyone?) adding touches charm and warmth to the whole scene.
We love big, beautiful weddings, but we also love delicate, subtle ones. Hailey + Jeremiah’s was a joy to be a part of. 🙂
