Hello + happy Thursday!
Today’s share is a bridal session we did recently at the ever-gorgeous Scarritt Bennett Center chapel. It’s always a joy to shoot there, but there’s something about winter that makes the old gothic architecture and soaring ceiling-arches seem especially beautiful…almost with a Jane Eyre-esque mystery. 😉 Except, in this case Jane (or Allison, in fact) is now happily married (stay tuned for a full post on their beautiful wedding!), and the only thing tinting this shoot was the golden hour sunlight, in the best of possible ways.
Allison could not have looked lovelier, stunning in her season-fluid lace-back gown, yet still adding December-appropriate touches with her plum lipstick and the subtle berry tones in her bouquet. For bridal sessions, it’s the perfect chance to be a little more dramatic before the actual wedding day, and we love the way she added a delicate hint of Christmas into this otherwise timeless shoot.
