If you were in Tennessee during the 3rd week of January this year, you know that Nashville got record breaking amounts of snow! Nashville was a winter wonderland. A snowy wedding has been on my photography bucket list for quite a while now and it was so worth the wait — just wait till you see how gorgeous Catherine’s white dress looks surrounded by the glowing snow right before sunset! However, this dreamy weather could have really put a damper on this Bride and Groom’s spirit. The snow may have caused them to sit in HOURS of traffic and that may have caused their rehearsal dinner schedule to change drastically. But, Andrew and Catherine chose not to let things out of their control get to them. They chose child-like enthusiasm and wonder for their wedding day winter wonderland and showed up just giddy to get married and celebrate! They say rain is good luck on your wedding day — if rain is good luck, then snow (of this amount) in Tennessee must be excellent luck!
This was our first time photographing at The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville — and goodness! — It had some beautiful architectural surprises for us!
Any brides out there planning a winter wedding? If so, check out Catherine’s details: flannel shirts, snow boots for outside in the snow, a white faux fur shrug, the green and gold color scheme — all of it came together beautifully in a classic winter fashion.
