A few months ago I had little baby Isla and her parents come to the studio for a cake smash session in celebration of her 1st birthday! I don’t do too many cake smash sessions but sign me up for more! Getting to see these little one’s get messy and enjoy eating their cake just screams cuteness overload. It’s so cute seeing them dig into their cakes, lick the frosting off their little fingers and get cake ALL over! From their head to their toes… it’s a messy mess but we love it!

Oh and we had a bonus here, there was a kitchen sink session as well!!! This worked out perfect as it helped clean baby girl up. Who knew babies in kitchen sinks would also be adorable?!!! Sometimes we fill up the sink with water, add bubbles and toys and have babies splash the water around… makes for the perfect captures!

I’ve know Lexie + Michael (the parents) for quite a few years now. I photographed their wedding, Lexie’s maternity session, baby girl Isla’s newborn session and 3 month old session! I’ve had the privilege of taking part in so many important stages in their lives and I couldn’t be more grateful. As I often mention, this is one of the most fulfilling things about what I do! Knowing that I, as a photographer, get to share these moments with my incredible clients, nothing compares to being a part of something as beautiful as this.
