I try my best to blog every session I photograph, but inevitably there are so many sessions that get skipped over on the blog as I’m trying to keep up with taking photos, emailing, editing, ordering albums & frames, etc. Some of my favorite 2019 session slipped through the blogging cracks — but I’ve dug them back up and will be squeezing them in throughout this year.

This session was one of the first sessions in my zinnia patch last year! Make sure to scroll to the bottom to see!

It was a hot summer day, so we decided to start in the studio with AC and end outside with the zinnias as the sun was going down. This was a perfect combination – in the studio, we captured modern & classic motherhood photos with simple clean backgrounds. When we went outside, we captured dreamy & romantic photos of this gorgeous mamma with her two little ones.

As a photographer that loves flowers & gardening AND incorporating flowers into your sessions, I’m already trying to plan my garden for next year. There will, of course, be zinnias again, but I’m also looking into goldenrod & cosmos flowers. And I’m also dreaming of a place to grow wisteria!
