It’s always an honor to photograph a newborn session. Watching new parents beam over their tiny, sleeping babe, completely in awe of the miracle of life in their arms — it’s just magical!

There were two things that the family wanted for this session, (1) light-filled photos, and (2) to include the family dog. So we decided to have baby Brennen’s newborn session in the studio, where there is tons of soft, natural light pouring in from the windows. The couple also arranged for their dog to be brought by at the end of the session, so we could take some pictures outside in the flower field! (You might remember this mama’s maternity session in the zinnia field!)

This season of life is so fleeting, filled with rapid changes and major milestones. If you are expecting in 2020, and plan to have 2 or more sessions, consider joining my membership program.
