Lynlee’s first year has been a beautiful journey, filled with quiet, tender moments between her and her mama. From those precious newborn days to celebrating her first birthday in December… Each session has been a reminder of how special these fleeting stages of babyhood truly are.

The Journey Begins: Body Empowerment Maternity Session

Lynlee’s milestone journey began even before she was born, with her mama’s stunning Body Empowerment Maternity Session. You can see more from that session here. This session was a celebration of strength, beauty, & the incredible transition into motherhood. It set the stage for a year filled with meaningful moments.

A Year of Sweet Milestones

Lynlee’s mama decided on the Membership program, an ideal way to honor the many stages of a baby’s first year. The Membership allows families to schedule multiple sessions, preserving the fleeting beauty of each milestone.
I’m sharing a little bit of my favorite memories from each of Lynlee’s sessions below!

• Newborn Session: Lynlee’s newborn session focused on the tender moments shared with her & her mama. We photographed her asleep and cozy, awake and making eye contact with the camera, & snuggling with mom!
• Three-Month Session: At three months, Lynlee was already starting to show her unique personality. Her bright eyes and curious nature were starting to show. We documented her smiles & cute expressions while she pushed up during tummy time. And we all squealed as she clasped her little hands while her mama supported her while she practiced sitting.
• Six-Month Session: Lynlee’s six-month milestone was particularly special. Lynlee giggled gleefully with pride every time she sat up on her own. The giggles causing her to wobble… which then caused her to laugh more.
  Lynlee had found her feet at this age! So, we documented some sweet roly-poly moments of her on her back grabbing her feet!
  Baby girl was also beginning to try to crawl! (This is early for most babies!) Lynlee has a older sibling to keep up with – so we documented her adorable early stage crawling attempts. Knowing that the next time I saw her – this little girl would likely have crawling with some impressive speed so she could keep up with her big brother ;-).
• Ten-Month Session: When Lynlee came to see me at her 10 month milestone session – not only was she crawling with speed, she was also beginning to stand up on her own and taking steps with assistance from her mom! She was quite pleased with her growing independence and was ready to show off her adventurous spirit. This session highlighted her curiosity and the excitement she brought to every moment.
• One-Year Celebration: We closed out Lynlee’s first year membership with a one-year milestone session in December. Lynlee showed up at my studio ready to solidify her title as “Dare Devil”- ha! This little girl was ready to show us that she could climb on chairs & laugh in the face of danger lol (mom was always just outside the camera frame ready to catch baby girl if needed – safety always comes first). This girl basically demanded to stand on her chair instead of sit in it. I think she might be a future rock climber ;-).
  Lynlee’s big brother, Liam, also joined in for this session & we documented some sweet sibling moments. We also documented some individual solo pictures for each of them. Now Lynlee and her family can look back at photos from these different stages of her first year and see her personality develop & grow stronger!
  It makes me wonder, what personality traits will Lynlee pick up on when she is looking back at her baby photos when she is an adult… Will she still recognize her strong willed, gutsy spirit?
  I like to imagine that she will say something like: “I recognize that the scrappy bravery I showed as a baby is still present in my spirit & personality now.”
