This entire wedding was a dream! We meet Victoria & Thomas (the bride & groom) in 2017 while we were traveling in Thailand. They are from France, and I jokingly told them that they should hire us to photograph their wedding in France if they ever got engaged. Fast forward to 2019 — we DID get to photograph their wedding day! Only it wasn’t in France — it was in Bali!

Leading up to the wedding day, Mark & I spent several days in Bali getting to know Victoria & Thomas, their families and close friends better. Working as a destination wedding photographer for this special event allowed Mark & I to experience their special relationships on a whole new level. Something about being in a foreign country bonds you to the strangers you meet in a different way! We got to watch this tight-knit group travel together, experience a new country together, and celebrate love together. The love, joy, and simplicity was so tangible. Everyone was so present!

The wedding day was held at Ayana Resort in Bali. The resort’s planner orchestrated things beautifully! Things were lavish, yet simple & uncomplicated — letting the beauty of nature and the couple’s love be the focus. From a stunning ceremony with golden light, a flower petal aisle, and romantic newlywed photos on the beach, to a delicious dinner under string lights & dancing under the stars. Nothing was rushed, everything flowed naturally, and Mark & I were honored to document it.
