As a family photographer, I am constantly watching the weather and time to make sure my clients get the best possible light for their family photos!

This sweet family had to reschedule their first date due to rain, and because their second date had a later sunset, we started the session close to their son’s bedtime. These parents were a little bit worried about him looking overly tired in the photos – BUT they turned out amazing! So many SMILES! I just revealed the photos to this sweet Mama yesterday, and she was amazed.

When kids are in a new environment, they tend to stay engaged and energized for longer than they would at home. This sweet boy was no exception – he did amazing during his 2-year-old session! Talking with your photographer about time of day in regards to sunset and bedtime is so important. A skilled, well-seasoned photographer knows EXACTLY how to set up the right scenarios, and how to capture the perfect moments, so that your little ones’ sweet personality is captured!
