Growing up, my mom consistently made a photo album every year. My sister and I LOVED to look at them – noticing our similarities and differences through the years, giggling at our parents’ fashion choices, and sharing stories and memories…

I’m grateful that my parents had a practice of collecting family photo albums. Research shows that children who see photos of themselves with their family have improved confidence and sense of belonging. This is one of the reasons why I am passionate about family photography, and why I encourage my clients to display the photos from their session.
