This wedding had it’s own unique but stylish look that was the most charming! This couple’s wedding was everything from sophisticated & elegant to rustic to playful – and some how these styles flowed together seamlessly! From the bride’s shoes, (don’t miss them!) to an absolutely beautiful venue, it was a day to remember.
– What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Clayton – “When Jamie walked down the aisle.”
Jamie – “The first look I had with my dad. It was such a special moment. I am a Daddy’s girl after all.”
– How did you meet your spouse?
We met through a mutual friend. Jamie’s best friend from high school, David, met Clayton at a pick up ultimate frisbee game. Jamie was home for the summer after her freshman year of college (2012) when David got a group together to see the new batman movie. We instantly connected and talked the whole night, going on our first date a few days later, to then becoming official a few weeks later. We never looked back!! The proposal was May 2015. Jamie always said she didn’t want a public proposal, but Clayton is all about the grand romantic gestures, so he found a perfect combination. He tricked Jamie into thinking they were going to a work event at a vineyeard in East Tennessee. It wasn’t a work event…it was a beautiful set up where Clayton would propose. Jamie’s 2 best friends were there taking pictures and video. Jamie was so surprised she cried all her makeup off. Pictures of us throughout our relationship were posted along a gravel path, leading toward a pergola covered with Christmas lights. We danced to our favorite song as a newly engaged couple.
– What drew you to your venue choices?
We wanted our ceremony and reception to be in the same place. I (Jamie) wanted to fully experience “the day”, if that makes sense. We both loved the idea of an elegant barn wedding, a mix and trendy and traditional, right up Jamie’s alley. Plus, they had a small cabin that we stayed in for our wedding night, so we didn’t have to go to a hotel. That’s what sealed the deal for us!
