This wedding was beautifully intimate and it all took place in the woods! What an amazing experience. All the details came together to create such a wonderful, rainy woodland dream.
– How did you meet your spouse?
Mark and I met at a UT Knoxville game. I walked in and saw him, and I asked who he was. My friend told me that his name was Mark and that I would love him. I told her I already did. He bought me a milkshake that night, and I knew I had met my husband.
– What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Right after we got married, Mark and I went back to the bridal suite. He got the fan and turned it towards me, and we laid on the couch and talked. So fun and sweet! Also, my veil ripped out the back of my head while I was walking down the aisle, and my brothers didn’t notice, so they just kept walking. That was so funny to me.
– Are there any particular items that were part of your wedding day that have an interesting story behind them or hold important meaning/value to you personally?
I wore my grandmother’s butterfly broach in my hair as my ‘something borrowed’ and ‘something old.’ My dad was unable to attend my wedding due to sickness, but I had pictures of him on a table that I looked at my entire reception. Though he physically was not there, I kept him close throughout the day.
