What a charming spring wedding in Nashville, TN! It was a joy to photograph Kenzie and Jordan’s big day – No amount of rain could hold their spirits down! Also – I was all heart eyed of Kenzie’s bouquet by Mezzanine Floral – you can’t miss it!
– What was your favorite moment(s) of your wedding day?
We both really enjoyed the moment when our pastor told us to take a minute and look out at everyone during our ceremony. Hand in hand about to be husband and wife. It was so special for us to take that moment and see all of our friends and family there supporting us.
– How did you meet your husband/wife? What is your dating and/or proposal story?
Jordan and I met while hanging out with a group of mutual friends on March 17, 2014. We actually met at an Irish pub for st patricks day. Jordan started to pursue me almost immediately. That night, he asked me on a date and once I said yes, he put his number in my phone with a bunch of red hearts by his name! Jordan and I continued to hangout every day after meeting. After a few dates, on day ten of knowing him, he asked me to be his girlfriend. He also told me he loved me. I didn’t say it back for a month or two, but I knew I loved him too. June 18th, 2016, Jordan proposed to me. We had spent the day at a golf tournament with two of our best friends and had plans later in the afternoon to join both of our families for a cookout at his parents house. On the way over there, Jordan decided to take the “pretty route” and drove me over to this beautiful little park. We walked down a path and the whole walk he is telling me all of the things he loves about me, and about us as a couple. He was crying and I was sobbing and have no memory of anything he said. It was as if I blacked out while he was talking. We walked over to a picnic table and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
– Are there any particular items that were part of your wedding day that have an interesting story behind them or hold important meaning/value to you personally?
The champagne flutes we toasted with were the same ones Kenzie’s grandparents used at their wedding! It was so special for us. My mom made my cathederal veil! I loved that.
– What are your favorite things about being married so far?
Absolutely everything.
