What a sweet and refreshing day with Kerry and Ellen! Their story is beautiful and unique, and so was their wedding day. Take a sneak peek into what their big day was like!
– What are some of your favorite characteristics about your spouse // What do you most admire about your loved one?
Ellen: I have so many favorite things about Kerry, for starters I love that he is always his true self, he doesn’t ever change his values or opinions! I love how he has no fear in showing his feelings, he has the biggest heart and he will tell everyone how much he truly cares for them! Lastly I love that Kerry is always so kind, hands down the most respectful person I’ve ever known.
Kerry: I love how patient and kind Ellen is. She is so polite and elegant. She is soft spoken not out of being reservde, but because she puts thoughts into the words she says.
– Are there any particular items that were part of your wedding day that have an interesting story behind them or hold important meaning/value to you personally?
My dad gave me his Coast Guard retirement pin to use as my something blue, that was incredibly special.
– Where there any points in your relationship that were a turning point that sparked your love for each other?
Ellen: The first time Kerry made me a grilled cheese I knew I was going to marry him, that’s when I truly fell in love.
Kerry: While in college I had a very busy schedule between class and work. There were often times I would only be able to get three to four hours of sleep. Ellen would help keep my life afloat and kept me going with packing my lunches and laying out clothes for me. She would always take the time to run a coffee to my job for me, and always would take the time to hand write me notes of affection and motivation. I knew from the first one that she was the one.
– What drew you to your venue choices?
I loved how rustic it was and the amazing scenery, I knew when I saw it that I wanted to be married there!
– What are your favorite things about being married so far?
Ellen: My favorite part about being married is being able to call Kerry my husband, after picking up our marriage certificate it made everything feel more official!
Kerry: My favorite part of being married so far is my wedding ring. The symbolism it holds reflecting our commitment to each other, and that it shows the world that I’ve committed and devoted my life to my beautiful wife.
– Describe your color pallet:
The color pallet went from merlot red to dusty pink with pops of navy blue

Kerry: On the wedding day I felt especially calm, almost like an out of body experience. I have never felt so right about anything in my life.
