Happy Monday and Happy 4th of July, friends! We hope your day is both fun & safe. 🙂
We’re sharing two quite unique sessions this week, starting with today’s wedding! Debbie + Oley’s wedding day was steeped in some amazing tradition: both that of their families, and Jewish history. It’s so fascinating to learn all the different traditions, and amazing how they have been passed down and kept close for so many years!
The couple describes, “the chuppah (wedding canopy) we were married under was built by Debbie’s younger brother and he used it in his wedding just last summer. The Tallit (prayer shawl) that Oley wore was a gift from Debbie’s older brother and his wife, that was just brought back with them on their honeymoon trip in Israel. The sash that Debbie wore during the wedding is a traditional ceremonial sash worn in Laos which is where Oley is from.”
What a beautiful legacy to carry on, on this important day in the lives of two special people.
